Tipologia Insegnamento

Lezioni in aula, Esperienze in Laboratorio

Frequenza

Lectures, Experiences in the Laboratory

Class attendance is optional. Attendance to the laboratory is mandatory (for at least 70% of the total time).

The course will be carried out in the classroom if permitted by the University's indications regarding restrictions due to the pandemic emergency. The lessons will also be recorded and available on the MOODLE platform asynchronously (on a date subsequent to the lessons held in the classroom).
The laboratory will be carried out mostly in presence in small groups according to the indications of the university and taking into account the restrictions due to the pandemic emergency.

Learning assessment methods

Written Test: for every module (Surfactants and Dye-sensitized Solar Cells) two questions are proposed to the student. The questions are of the open answer type and should require to the student to show their skills into the organization of the information about different molecules and materials.
If there are still restrictions on face-to-face activities due to the current health emergency. In the impossibility of carrying out written exams in the classroom, the evaluation will take place in the following way:

- A conference call waiver during which students will be asked to perform a written task similar to that of the normal previous appeals. The student will receive the assignment as a word file at the beginning of the test, and will write with words or similar. During the test, he/she must remain connected to the videoconference from a computer or telephone that frames it together with the computer on which he/she writes. At the end of the allotted time, he/she will upload the test on the Turnitin plagiarism platform, according to instructions that will be communicated later.
- Once the written test has been corrected, approximately after 2 days, students will be summoned for a verbalizing oral exam via a conference call. During this exam, the students will be able to choose whether to accept the written grade or to request a more in-depth oral exam.
